Keri (Swedish: Kokskär) is an island in the Gulf of Finland. It belongs
to an archipelago of Estonian northern coast together with islands
Prangli and Aksi. Keri is approximately 6 km to the north from island
Prangli and has a surface area of 3.1 hectares only.
Island Keri was first mentioned in 1623. In 1719 the decision was made to build a lighthouse on
the island. The today's lighthouse originates from 1803. Since 2003
Keri does not have permanent inhabitants. The buildings, webcams and
events on Keri are managed by Keri Society.

On 14th June 1940
Russians shoot down a Finnish passenger plane called Kaleva (from Tallin
Estonia to Helsinki Finland). The monument has been erected to those killed (2
crew members and 7 passengers) in the crash. There was some political interest,
which I won´t analyse here…
Is that a cemetery under the big cross? Who is buried there?
the webcam seems to be out of order.
There are some really good photos of Keri on Google Earth. It looks like a fun place to visit.
Is it possible to rise view so that more sky is visible?
darkness now! :o(
it's a wonderful island! So calm and preaceful!
